Couldn't stop reading this book! Creepy, with loads of suspense and a few surprises. Not too graphic, but cringeworthy towards the end. Loved the characters! Last summer, chilling circumstances thrust Penny Wright back into the tumult of her childhood, where her ability to connect with ghosts made her an icon in the small town of Ashton, Colorado. Returning home for the Thanksgiving holidays, Penny is balancing her responsibilities at her fledgling PR firm in Los Angeles with the strong ties she feels to Ashton. When a woman named Dee Stephens dies unexpectedly, Penny’s skills are once again brought to the surface as she and several companions seek to uncover the truth behind unexplained events at the infamous January House.The second in the Penny Wright series, this book expands on Penny’s supernatural abilities while introducing new and important characters into the mix. As Penny and her boyfriend Matthew are navigating their own rocky paths, Penny’s brother Bryce becomes a more prominent feature in the story. True to A.N. Willis’ writing style, this book is very readable, its easy flow engaging readers from one chapter to the next.
